Our bop FACULTY AND FELLOWS
The faculty and fellows associated with WDI’s BoP Initiative are some of the most renowned Base of the Pyramid scholars and thought leaders. Their research and consulting activities champion new ways of thinking about more inclusive forms of capitalism that emphasize the role of market-based approaches to poverty alleviation.
They share their expertise with our partners in a number of ways, including engagements with specific organizations, participation in development consulting projects, and custom-designed executive education programs. Broadly, this work focuses on identifying the poverty alleviation and business development opportunities associated with the BoP perspective and co-creating the strategies, ventures models, and partnerships required to productively explore those opportunities.

Our BoP Faculty and Fellows are a small community of renowned Base of the Pyramid scholars and thought leaders interested in exploring what is unique and interesting about the BoP. BoP Fellows work with WDI’s Base of the Pyramid Research Initiative to support the development of cutting-edge knowledge on key issues related to the BoP, and to create opportunities to have this research shared across a broad audience of academics and practitioners.
To achieve this, Fellows participate in the design of BoP-oriented conferences and events, facilitate collaborative opportunities with various partners, share their latest thinking on our website, identify leading trends and new opportunities in the BoP space, and offer suggestions for new programs and research efforts.
