Leadership for Experienced Managers

The premise of Leadership for Experienced Managers is that effective leaders need multiple skills to allow for flexibility in managing and leading in diverse situations. Effective leaders understand the subtleties of personal interaction and how these subtleties relate to the performance objectives of their organization. This course provides an integrated leadership framework to enable each participant to identify and formulate a personalized action-development plan.
 
Faculty Bio
 
Michael  McGrath is an Adjunct Professor for Executive Development at the Graduate School of Business, University of Michigan and Director of the Senior Executive Program-Asia. Michael was also an Assistant Professor of Management and Organization at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Southern California. Michael’s corporate background includes being Vice-President, Executive Education and Development at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. where he was responsible for the talent management and portfolio planning and development process for the firm’s top 200 executives. He also served as head of Organization Development at Rockwell Semiconductor Products Businesses supporting the senior team on a two-year business turn around. As an executive coach and external consultant, Michael has worked with senior executive teams on both individual executive effectiveness and senior team performance. Michael also served as senior Vice President for Personnel Decisions International (PDI), where he founded the San Francisco office.
